MA in Sports and Recreation Management
Overview
According the resolution of Council of Higher Education in its 15th session which was held on 15/7/1429H the department of Sport and Recreation Management was adopted to be one of the departments of the College of Sport Sciences and Physical Activity in KSU.
M.A. program in Sport and Recreation Management aims to meet the needs of governmental and private institutions in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia(Ministry of Sport, sport clubs, military sectors, Ministry of Education, sport centers, Saudi universities and colleges, companies and institutions' sport clubs). In addition, it seeks to achieve the desire of graduate students from related discipline to pursue their higher studies. The program improves the professional level and increase the knowledge of the workers in the field which enhance the importance of connecting the theory with practice. It also contributes to investigate and provide solutions to the current management problems in accordance with latest scientific updates in the areas of specializations.
Also, it aspires to keep pace with scientific development in sport and recreation field which can be accomplished through preparing specialists and distinguished scientific studies and researches in the sport and recreation fields such as: management of sport organizations and commissions, management of sport activities in universities, management of sport and recreation events and facilities, sport marketing and investment, etc. It aims as well to highlight contemporary issues in the area of sport and recreation management.
