The research aims to identify the effect of the personality of the teacher on the self-development of the learner. The researcher used the descriptive method using the survey method. The results of the research sample (90) students and the most important results reached the design of the measure of identification of the personality of the teacher and the measure of recognition of self-development of the learner. Based on the conclusions reached and within the sample of the research, the researcher is recommended to:

• The need to work on building the independent personality of the teacher of all characteristics (personal, cognitive, cognitive, dealing with students, social, teaching process) because of their great impact on the self-development of students in junior high school.
• The need to pay attention to self-development for middle school students.
• Holding courses for the character of the teacher in the preparatory stage
• Encourage the teacher to see everything that is new and useful in the educational.
