Rational behind the Chair’s establishment at the University:
1. To contribute in achieving the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 by preparing advanced educational curricula that focus on basic skills, developing talents and building personality.
2. To fulfill the need for a specialized scientific reference in the field of sports sciences, training and sports performance for sports, community and competitive talents. .
3. To enrich the field of scientific research and field studies that help in attracting promising sports talents and achieving sports achievements.
4. To participate in the preparation of cadres specialized in designing and creating high-level community and competitive sports programs.
The Chair’s Lines of Action:
First: The Line of Science Production (Research, Translation, Authoring)
1. Support publishing scientific research in distinguished international journals.
2. Support scientific research that address sports issues faced by players, coaches and workers.
3. Enrich the Arabic library by translating and writing books specialized in sports and physical activity
4. Making the chair’s research a scientific reference for research in both the Arab and international worlds
Second: The Line of Training and Education
1. Four diplomas for one year. (Names and starting times will be determined by the Institute)
2. Two training courses / six months each. (Names and start timing will be determined by the Leadership Institute)
3. Three training courses / three months each. (Names and starting times will be determined by the Institute)
The Anticipated Outcomes:
1. Contribute in attracting and developing sports, community and competitive talents
2. Contribute in stimulating sports, community and competitive talents, as well as to improve a healthy lifestyle and guarantee quality of life in the field of sports

4. Enrich the field of sports with publications, scientific books and scientific statistics in the field of training and sports performance for sports, community and competitive talents

Types of scientific production and research activities the Chair will provide:
1. Measuring the awareness of Saudi society of the benefits of practicing sports for sports, community and competitive talents
2. Investigating the obstacles that prevent the practice of sports and the development of sports, community and competitive talents in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
3. Identifying the suitability of sports facilities to adopt and allow practice sports for sports, community and competitive talents
4. Identifying the impact of sports practice on health condition of sports, community and competitive talents
5. Identifying the impact of psychological and social factors on the performance of sports, community and competitive talents
6. Identifying the obstacles facing sports academies for sport, community and competitive talent
The Chair’s cooperation with other community institutions:
Sports, community and competitive talents represent a large and important sector in all societies that is found in many bodies and institutions in the community such as schools, clubs and gyms. Therefore, the chair will have a strong bond with various bodies, institutions and sectors in the society to support the practice of physical activity among sports, community and competitive talents and expand the base of sports, community and competitive talents through various means such as academies. The Chair also seeks, through communication with community institutions, to conduct scientific research addressing sports, community and competitive talents in those institutions to overcome the problems and obstacles they face. Moreover the Chair will seek to provide them with books and scientific references related to sports, community and competitive talents that focus on appropriate nutrition methods as well as techniques for dealing with aging in terms of movement and psychology.
